Ducati Hypermotard Aftermarket Parts
It seems Ducati could do no wrong in the early 2000s. The championship-winning 916 evolved into the again championship-winning 996 and 998 models, Miguel Galluzzi gave us the Monster and, then, for the 2006-07 model year, designer Pierre Terblanche delivered the Ducati Hypermotard to the world.
While it had long been rumored that such a bike was in the works, no one knew for certain that the project would become a reality. Equipped with the requisite Ducati ‘desmo’ L-twin, the Hypermotard’s low weight and torque engine made it an exciting runabout with bleeding-edge style.
For those seeking a wind-in-the-hair ride in a more manageable package, the Hypermotard 796 offered a slightly lower stand-over height. It also featured a smaller power plant that produced a respectable 81 horsepower but lacked the stump-puller torque characteristics of larger-displacement models. Perfect for less experienced riders, but fully capable in its own right, the 796 is still great fun to pilot.
