Monster S4R MY05

Ducati Monster S4R Parts

The racing likes of the 1198s, 999s and 916s have their time and place, but for many Ducati fans, a Monster is the purest expression of Ducati. Miguel Angel Galluzzi’s naked bike design has spawned over a dozen different sub-models and numerous special editions since its inception in 1993. The instantly recognizable Ducati trellis frame is the perfect complement to the naked design language. The famous Ducati desmodromic L-twin shines in the Monster, where owners can proudly show it off to the world. The Monster is beloved by purists and customizers for the same reasons: It is simple, direct and effective.

The Monster S4R earns its ‘R’ designation thanks to its use of a 996cc engine closely related to the one used in the Ducati 996 Superbike. While the title of “biggest Monster” technically belongs to the Monster 1200 line launched recently, the S4R was certainly ahead of its time, and its 101 horsepower and 92NM of torque are still more than enough to put a smile on the face of even veteran riders. Its four-valve-per-cylinder engine represented a first for the Monster line, a change that has become standard on all new Monsters since the release of the S4R.

A Great Selection of Ducati Monster S4R Parts

More than any other Ducati model, the Monster is an expression of two-wheeled freedom — The freedom to take on any road with the performance and confidence of a Ducati and the freedom to transform the bike many have already used as a rolling canvas into a truly one-of-a-kind work of art. The Monster’s naked layout has helped introduce many markets to a style of bike never known before and has been the basis for some of the most creative custom motorcycles in recent history.
