Ducati Multistrada 1000DS is a bold attempt at tourer/town/sportster hybrid motorcycle and hits the mark. Designed by Pierre Terblanche as an evolution to his previous design, the Cagiva Gran Canyon, the Multistrada has drawn mixed reviews for its unconventional aesthetics.
Air-cooled, two-valve, dual spark (the DS bit) 1000DS engine is Ducati’s proven, run-of-the-mill mainstay. The Ducati Multistrada 1000DS is flexible, friendly and invigorating enough if a little rough in terms of its gear change and low-rev response.
Multistrada 1000 has enough grunt for the road and the handling is sublime even on this standard model.
